I have been wondering what to do for the first batch of ghost-town animations and have come up with the idea of animating some of my old "poetry" including City of Demons: "Today I dreamt there was a demon in my city, crawling up the walls, leaving a bloody reminder for anyone with eyes" (Yup that was written when I was 17). Clumsy and naive but now it seems to have some meaning.
I'm also going to create a few narrative cycles based on the signs and symbols I have commonly used, e.g. the angel, the butterfly, the pink balloon head, the pig mask, the sorry bomb etc. The difference to my normal approach to these signs/symbols is to use them as signifiers, but for this project I want to develop them into characters. I want to think about how they move, what they think, what the sound like, how would they react in differing situations - What are their Characters?
Ok a lot to think about and develop.
Today's animation is some walk cycles by master animator Art Babbitt.
